NY Times: Women and the Law Firm Ladder

I wrote an op-ed for Student Lawyer last year on the challenges facing women who enter the world of corporate law. The NY Times has an interesting feature today that examines the inability of major law firms to retain women.

Letter from Turkmenistan

One of our last trips in Central Asia was to Ashgabat. We went on a bit of a rug-buying spree and spent a few days touring the infamous city. It is one of the most unique and bizarre places I've ever been and when I came home I wrote up a story that was just published in the March issue of Foreign Service Magazine. You can read it here.

I just got an email from my former USAID boss who now wonders if I'll ever get a visa to Turkmenistan again.
